Day 28: Happy Halloween!!!

We had a GREAT day today! Church went well, then there was a potluck for a family at church afterwards and whoooo doesn't love a potluck haha. After Damien got up from nap we headed to the Sacramento Zoo for "Boo at the Zoo!" It will definitely be a tradition for us from here on out, theres so much more to it than just wandering around ringing door bells and getting candy! He can look at the animals, play games, haunted house, there was a tented dance floor for kids, SO FUN! Not to mention its ridiculously cute to see hundreds of small children running around in costumes all in one place :) I have to say, Halloween is so much more fun when you have a kid. Damien had a blast, and he even found a little girl his age in the girl version of his costume and girl's Mom and I both HAD to take a picture, they were too cute! Everyone loved his costume. Then we headed to Grandma & Grandpa's house to see them and hung out for an hour or two to wait for Grandpa to come home. We stopped by Lucille's on the way home to get some dinner and Damien got to see his Auntie Lindsey which he LOVED, she's his favorite!

Day 27 - Saturday

Damien and I had a relaxing day at home today. I had a marathon of laundry to do and since I have been having a million braxton hicks contractions every day, I decided to listen to my body and actually rest for once and napped with him for the last 2 hours of his nap. I definitely needed it! Didn't have anything to take pics of today, but I did meet up with my Sister in law to pick up our fired ceramics pieces from Petroglyph. Turned out so cute, I love it :) I'm trying to decide if I want to make it a Christmas present for him or not...Not sure if I can wait that long to let him use it hehe

Day 26 - Friday

Friday was a fun day, we went to Bishops one last time in the late afternoon with Damien's "Auntie Linds" and wandered around, played on the train and shared a peanut butter cookie on a bench :) Then later that evening after dinner Daddy, Mommy and Damien went to "Trunk-or-Treat" at our friend's church. Marissa and Kevin's son, Dylan, is Damien's best bud forever. They play pretty well together and are so cute to watch! We love them! Thanks for inviting us again.

Day 25 - Thursday

I'm so behind. I suck at this haha. I'm definitely playing catch up tonight, I've been so exhausted by the time Damien is in bed that I forget!

Damien is really into coloring now, he begs me all day every day to color and while I love it I have to sit with him because he likes to color on the walls...the floor...himself haha So I have to save it for times when I don't have other things to get done. He will sit and color for upwards of an hour if I let him, its so cute :) He's also learning his colors, everytime he picks up a crayon I tell him what color it is and so far he's learned blue and green...its so cute! "Bew!!" "Geeeen!"

Day 24

Tonight I went out for a few hours without the kiddo with my Sister in Law Candice. We went to a ceramics studio in Roseville called Petroglyph. Its such an awesome place and we've dubbed it out "Peace Place". It was unbelievably relaxing to go and paint, it was quiet in there, music was playing, we could have a nice conversation. This is one thing her and I share a love for, arts and crafts type stuff, so its fun to go that kind of thing with her :) Thanks for going with me Sis!

I made Damien a dinner plate tonight. This is before its fired, the colors are a little differentthan they are in the picture but its the general idea haha

Day 23

Today we set up Baby #2's crib. Since we live in a two bedroom condo, we will have him in our room until May when our lease is up and we move elsewhere. Damien JUST moved into his own room about 3 months ago anyways, so we're used to having an extra roomie :) (and I love sleeping with my baby...seriously there is nothing better than sweet baby breathe in the morning!) Well i went to take a picture of the crib set up and Damien was behind me going "Cheese! Cheese!" so we had a mini photo shoot...

Day 22: 27 weeks!

We had a busy day today, lots of errands and an hour and a half long trip to the park alone with Damien. I am definitely feeling all that running around!

And I've graduated into my husbands basketball shorts... mine just weren't cutting it anymore haha

Day 21

We had fun with his lego set yesterday :) And yes I forgot to post, AGAIN. I'm really trying to not screw this up but its hard haha

Day 20

We have one spoiled kid... seriously. Daddy can't resist buying him cool stuff when we see it while we're out so this is his newest toy! Its a lego table with a top that goes over the lego part to make a regular table. He played with it for an hour when we got home... its a hit.

And then we put the top on and he sat there like a big boy and fed himself his ENTIRE plate of food. Anyone who knows him well knows this is a huge deal haha, my kid eats like a bird. We may have figured him out, who would have thought all we needed to do was let him be a little more independant?

Day 19

First rainy day of Fall, which is awesome, but at the same time that rain decided to start right as we walked up to the playground in our complex, so not so awesome haha. We stayed and played in the sprinkles until the rain started bugging him and then we walked back home! It was so nice to be bundled up for once instead of sweating our hineys off!

And yes he's eating bark.....

Day 17

We carved our pumpkins this afternoon :) So fun! Paul's is on the left, my ugly one is on the right and Damien's little painted pumpkin is in the middle but you can't really see it becuase it was too dark!

Day 16

We went to the pumpkin patch again today to let Damien run around. Bishops Pumpkin Farm in Wheatland is probably one of the most fun places to go and the best part is its free and parking is free on the weekends. If it werent for my addiction to their pink lemonade then it would be the perfect free place to take him every week until they close for winter :)

Today was fun because we picked out pumpins last week so we weren't focused on it this time and just let him run and play :)

Day 15: 26 weeks

14 weeks to go... or if I have him the same time I had Damien, only 12 weeks! YIKES, thats not very much time!

Got behind on posts again, that will happen with a toddler who has a very upset stomach, Mommy's fault for not watching how much dairy I give him :( I feel bad!

Annnnd on another note, my Hubby is 24! :) His birthday was Monday the 18th and I made him this delicous cake from scratch...seriously it was amazing and we're still picking at it :)

Day 14

Another shot of my boys together :) Love them both so much... He was helping Daddy shave!

Saturday, October 16, 2010

Day 13

We went straight to the park when Daddy got home before dinner to catch the daylight and let monkey run off his steam. The weather was amazing and it was nice and quiet at our big park, which is super unusual, its usually packed with kids until the sun goes down! Damien figured out how to climb the rock wall today, it was fun to watch, he's such a monkey!

Day 12

Its Evil. Little orange, yellow, and white peices of evil goodness. I am ADDICTED to candy corn. I love candy corn pregnant or not, but its especially bad pregnant haha. I am ashamed to even admit how many bags I've gone through in the last 2 weeks, really, its a lot. The sad part is it always ends up making me sick to my stomach because its so sweet, but I just keep eating it. Evil candy corn!

Day 11: Band-Aid babysitter

I had to take a shower this morning with Damien awake so I locked him in the bathroom with me and gave him the first aid kit full of bandaids haha, it kept him entertained JUST long enough for me to take the world's fastest shower.

Day 10

So precious to watch sleep in the mornings, I'm stealing any and all quiet alone moments with him that I can before baby brother arrives to just cherish the two of us together

Day 9:Mommy's pride

Went to my OB on Tuesday and as soon as the medical assistant left the room I got over to the bulletin board and made sure my little man's face was showing :)

Day Eight: 25 weeks

What's averaging 13 1/2 inches and weighs about 1lbs 8 oz? Our wee bean :) Today was one of the first days where it really hit me I was pregnant and I need to slow down a little bit. We went to the pumpkin patch and not only did it wear me out, but I think I should have taken it as a sign when in a 10 minute walk of me dragging a pumpkin wagon to where Paul and Damien were, about 6 men tried to stop me, offering to drag it for me. Did I look that pathetic trying to drag it? haha. We had a lot of fun but I am WORN out! We kept joking I was going to get accused of smuggling one out under my shirt ;)
P.S. I promise one of these weeks I'll take a belly pic where I'm actually dressed and not about to jump in bed haha

Day Seven

He's always building towers, anything that he can possibly stack he does! This was his masterpeice during bathtime :)

Day 6: We miss you

I didn't feel like posting this last night, it was just kind of a hard day! I'll post todays picture later tonight once my wee man is in bed.

Day 5: Boo!

The new favorite game in this house is "boo!". He's learned how to sneak around the corner and then pops back around and goes "BOO!" or "AHH!" and thinks he's the coolest thing in the whole world. This goes on for at least an hour every night, and I caught him mid "AHH" tonight

Day 4: Best Friends

No paragraph needed :)

Day 3: Blondie

Oops, I fell asleep last night before posting this :)

What happened to the head of black hair I gave birth too 18 months ago???

Day 2: His Idea of Paradise

If you could describe your very own paradise, what would it consist of? Mine would be a beach with clear blue water, a big huge umbrella to sit under, about 85 degrees with a breeze, an ice cold lemonade, and my hubby and Damien down by the water playing. What would it be for an 18 month old little boy? A field full of rocks, for mine. Rocks are probably his favorite thing on the entire planet....You can throw them, stack them, kick them, lick them ( he says "good!" after he does) and stash them places for mommy to find when she's cleaning out his stroller or shoes or sweatshirt pockets. We went out for an evening walk today and let him run ahead of us on the path, he was in little boy paradise

Day One

So a few friends of mine gave me the idea to do this, its called Project 365. Basically you just take a picture or chose a picture you've taken every day and do this for a whole year. I think it will be a fun way to document the second half of this pregnancy, Damien growing up, and then the boys growing together :)

So, here goes. Every Monday night I'll make it a belly shot, that's when my "week" changes. Today I'm 24 weeks! According to Babycenter.com Little Paul is the size of an ear of corn (yum!) and weighs over a pound. 24 weeks also marks the point where in the medical world the baby is considered viable, able to sustain life on the outside of my womb, with help of course. I think thats pretty cool, and I can't beleive we're only 16 weeks away from seeing his beautiful face :)
